Onion Madder is the creative identity of Kellye Strickland, a US-based software developer, systems builder, and civil rights activist .

I combine analog electronics, digital archives, and narrative technology to document what institutions try to erase.

My work spans civil rights litigation, AI-assisted investigation, and surreal interactive environments that merge technical fluency with emotional clarity.

This site is more than personal expression: it is an ADA accommodation.

By structuring evidence digitally, I survive erasure in the very same courts that deny me accommodations and a permanent record.

Accessibility isn't abstract for me. I've had IIH - idiopathic intracranial hypertension - since I was twelve. It comes with episodes of temporary blindness and slow, progressive vision loss, plus a freckle in my right eye that gets checked every year in case it decides to turn cancerous. I was told I'd likely be legally blind by forty. I'm forty-two, still here, still building - knock on wood.

So I build things to be read: by screen readers, at any zoom, on any device. It's also why I rebuild guides I love, like Ray Wilson's Music From Outer Space, as accessible pages - keeping that work reachable for people whose eyes work like mine.
