Four octaves of square wave stacked on top of your guitar, each with its own fader. It does not track politely and it is not trying to - this is the eight-bit, broken-video-game end of octave pedals, and the six knobs are there so you can build the chord yourself.

What it does

This is an all-analog monophonic synth, not an octave pedal in the clean-tracking sense. It squares your signal off and generates voices at two octaves down, one octave down, the root and one octave up, and gives each of those its own level control so you mix the chord yourself. Set them all up and it is enormous. Pull the root out entirely and it stops sounding like a guitar at all.

It is monophonic, so play one note at a time. Chords make it stutter and glitch and argue with itself, which is either a bug or the reason you bought it, depending on the day. Tracking gets less certain the further down the neck you go, and the Sub voice is the first to wobble. All of that is the character of the circuit rather than a fault.

The Filter knob is what makes it usable in a band. Wide open it is a very bright square wave; backed off it sits under a vocal without stripping paint.

Controls

Level
Output volume. There is a lot of it, so set this before you go exploring.
Filter
Tone. Rolls the top off the square waves, which is the difference between piercing and merely rude.
Base
How much of the root square wave, the octave you actually played, sits in the mix.
Sub
The voice two octaves down. This is the one that shakes things.
Down
The voice one octave down.
Up
The voice one octave up. Bring this in for the circuit-bent-console sound.
