This one's a love letter in the shape of a pedal. My friend Myke's favorite color is purple, so I found some obscene metallic-purple glitter finish and named the pedal for him. Inside it's a PedalPCB Pitch Witch - a PT2399 delay whose delay time gets modulated by an optical LFO. What that means in practice: the pitch of the repeats wobbles. Set it gently and you get vibrato or chorus. Push Depth and it's straight-up tape-warp queasy - like your amp is being run on a dying battery in a hurricane.

What it does

Mr. Ownz doesn't do clean echoes. It does pitch-warped, seasick echoes. The heart of the pedal is a PT2399 chip (same one behind a lot of lo-fi delays), but here the delay time is being wiggled continuously by an optical LFO. Wiggling the delay time changes the pitch of what's coming out - and that's where the vibrato / chorus / tape-warp feel lives.

At low Depth it's a subtle shimmer. Push Depth and Speed up and you get proper chorus and vibrato. Push Depth all the way and pin Feedback, and it stops sounding like a delay and starts sounding like a bad memory - warble stew, self-oscillating pitch chaos, the kind of thing you record straight to tape.

Delay
Base delay time - from short slap up to long shimmer.
Speed
How fast the LFO wiggles the pitch.
Depth
How much the LFO wiggles it - the difference between shimmer and full pitch-warp.
Wave
Shapes the LFO's waveform, from smoother swells to more aggressive shapes.
Blend
Wet / dry mix - dial in how much of the pitched delay to blend against your dry signal.
Feedback
How many repeats. Push it far and the pedal self-oscillates into wobble stew.
