Silicon Fuzz · One-off prototype

Solo Fuzz

Fuzz Available · 1 of 1

This one's for the days when I don't want to think, I just want fuzz. It's a Colorsound Fuzz Box-style silicon circuit (GuitarPCB's One Knob Fuzz board) that I splatter-painted in teal and purple and left with one clear knob for Volume. That's it. The fuzz is dialed in hot; if I want it cleaner or nastier, I roll the guitar. Big, snarling, doom-adjacent, and stupidly easy to love.

What it does

Solo Fuzz is exactly what the name says: a fuzz with no menus, no fuss, and nothing to get in the way. It's a two-transistor silicon fuzz in the spirit of the ’60s Colorsound Fuzz Box - the kind of gnarly, saturated, slightly-unhinged fuzz that became a backbone of ’70s hard rock and modern doom and stoner tones. Big open chords bloom into a wall; single notes sing and spit.

The single knob is Volume, so the fuzz itself is dialed in hot and ready. The best “gain” control is your guitar: roll your volume knob back and it cleans up and softens; dig in and turn up and it roars. Simple to use, hard to put down.

Controls

Volume
The one knob - sets the pedal's output level, from unity up to a healthy boost. The fuzz is fixed and full-bore; use your guitar's volume to tame or unleash it.

Circuit: GuitarPCB One Knob Fuzz, a circuit based on the classic Colorsound Fuzz Box. Built, painted, and finished by Onion Madder as an original one-off - not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a clone of any commercial brand.
