A tube vibe named for the Different Noises board it is built on, the Uneasy Cadence, and that board cannot be bought any more. Two 12AU7s stand up out of the face in their own sockets, and three knobs set the speed, the depth and the volume. It runs on 12V DC at 500mA or more, center negative. A 9V pedal supply will not do.

What it does

Depth and speed are the whole of a vibe: speed is how fast the sound swings and depth is how far. Two 12AU7s do the work here, and they sit in panel-mount sockets on the face, so a tube can be pulled and swapped without opening the box.

This circuit is impossible to buy now. Different Noises made the PCB and they are gone, so the parts list had to be pieced together through Reddit, and then I spent hours beeping every resistor with a meter to make sure each one was in the right spot.

It needs 12V DC at 500mA or more, center negative. The tubes are the reason, and a normal 9V pedal supply will not run it. There is no footswitch: the toggle is the power switch.

Controls

Speed
The left knob, lettered SPEED. How fast the sound swings.
Depth
The middle knob, lettered DEPTH above it. How far the sound swings.
Volume
The right knob, lettered VOL. How loud it comes out.
The toggle
Power, to the right of the knobs. There is no footswitch, so this is the on and the off.
The lamp
The indicator between the two tubes.
